Brand, Product Design & Development
A real postcard, made by you. I designed, built, and launched a small business that turns a phone photo into a printed postcard in the mail.
The Idea
Most of the photos we take never reach the people who'd love them. Posting is public and texting is disposable. A postcard is neither. From Here lets anyone turn a photo they took into a real card, written in their own words and mailed to someone they're thinking of. No likes, no comments.
Brand
The brand borrows from the object itself: warm paper stock, a typewriter-style mono for postmarks and labels, a high-contrast serif for headlines, and a handwritten script for the human parts. The palette stays earthy so the customer's photo is always the brightest thing on the page.

Product Design
The order flow does one job: get from camera roll to checkout with as few decisions as possible. Add a photo, write a note, address it, preview the card, and pay. Pricing is a flat $5.99 with postage included, so there's nothing to calculate at the end.

Build
I built the whole thing, working with Claude Code: a static front end with Netlify Functions behind it. Stripe handles payment, PostGrid prints and mails the card, Cloudinary stores the photo, and Airtable holds orders. Resend sends the emails, including a "your postcard is on its way" notice triggered when the card is postmarked.
Each card also gets a public page that the recipient or sender can open. Beyond the customer flow, I built an internal orders dashboard, a staging environment with test-mode payments and printing, and scripts for catching stuck orders, so problems surface before a customer notices them.
